Founded in 2004, Creative Fresno is an all-volunteer non-profit dedicated to promoting public art in the Fresno area. The chair Jonathon Hogan was awarded the Fresno Arts Council’s 2017 Horizon Award as an arts leader.
Creative Fresno has financed and facilitated 14 different public murals in Fresno, including the famous “Postage Stamp” mural downtown. Additionally, Creative Fresno created and ran the FUSE Music Festival for 8 years, establishing one of the first music festivals in the city.
Currently, the organization is working on several new murals, including one at the Fresno-Yosemite International Airport. It is also in the final stages of arranging a new short film festival in the Fall that acts as one of the feeder venues for the Academy Awards.
With 15 years of experience in public art, Creative Fresno acts as a community resource. Its expert members advise businesses, nonprofits, and other community stakeholders seeking to install murals and other public artwork.
Creative Fresno is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with an all-volunteer board and membership. Its mission is to create a quality sense of place by supporting the arts in every district of Fresno and the greater Fresno area.
