Creative Fresno Announces 2019 Gala to Benefit Public Art
Fresno, CA – Tickets are now on sale for Creative Fresno’s Gala celebration of those who support the arts in the Greater Fresno Area. The Gala will take place on Friday, September 20, at 6:00 pm at TorNino’s in North Fresno.
Creative Fresno was founded in 2004 to support public art in Fresno. The organization helped facilitate many of the public murals in the city, including the famous “Fresno Postage Stamp” mural downtown. Creative Fresno also created FUSE Fest, one of Fresno’s first music festivals, and has won several awards for its public art advocacy.
Proceeds from this event will support the creation of more public art in the Fresno metropolitan area through grants and advocacy. Current Creative Fresno projects include several new murals as well as a new short film festival in Fall 2019.
The Gala will feature a silent auction of original works by Fresno artists, a patron-of-the-arts award, and a live DJ. This year’s theme “A Night at the Taj” will feature live entertainment along with a special menu prepared for the evening by TorNino’s chef.
Individual tickets are available for sale now at the Creative Fresno Gala website (https://creativefresno.com/tickets). Those interested in becoming a sponsor or table captain can contact Creative Fresno Gala Committee Chair David Holland at firstname.lastname@example.org.
